Home > Application Period Extended to 1/3/22 for the 2022 Leadership Practice Community
Emerging leaders including mental health practitioners in the Pacific Southwest region will participate in seven sessions from late January to April 2022. Coaching sessions will then be provided for more in-depth support for the cohort from May to August 2022.
WHAT IS THE PRACTICE COMMUNITY?
The Leadership Practice Community provides participants in the mental health field a deeper understanding of effective leadership and how adaptive leadership can help navigate working relationships or projects. Emerging leaders will learn from peers in the Pacific Southwest region as they gain leadership skills in: identifying internal strengths; leading in times of change and distress; creating a diverse and inclusive workplace culture; distinguishing types of conflict engagement; and establishing shared leadership and collaborative teams.
WHO IS IT FOR?
- The community is intended for emerging leaders who are mental health practitioners and mental wellness advocates who are employed at community- and state-level mental health organizations, educational entities, and other organizations that advocate for mental wellness.
- Emerging leaders can be defined as those who are in mid-level positions at their organization, who have been working in the mental health field for at least five years, and are managing projects, staff, or external partner relationships.
- Participants must work within the Pacific Southwest Region, which includes AZ, CA, HI, NV, and the Pacific Jurisdictions.
