An Overview of Screening, Treatment, and Prevention of Postpartum Depression: Webinar
Dec 3, 2020 12:00 PM in Eastern Time (US and Canada)
This one-hour presentation gives an overview on screening, preventing and treating postpartum depression. Presenters Dr. Caron Zlotnick and Raven Miller will also discuss an evidence-based postpartum depression prevention program, ROSE, which in a series of randomized controlled trials was found to prevent 50% of the cases of postpartum depression. ROSE is a class that can be taught by anyone in settings including prenatal clinics, FQHCs, addiction treatment centers, doula groups, nurse visiting programs, WIC, or any agency that works with pregnant women. Click here to find out more about the ROSE project.
Implementation of this program is flexible: ROSE can be taught individually or in groups and can take place both face-to-face and via telehealth. In addition, Dr. Zlotnick and Raven will present the ROSE Sustainment (ROSES) study, which provides clinics and agencies across the country the opportunity to get free training and technical support in the ROSE intervention in return for completing quarterly electronic surveys.
