Youth MHFA teaches adults who work with youth how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training teaches the skills needed to reach out and provide initial support to adolescents who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
Who should attend? Adults who work with youth; community members, teachers, school personnel, behavioral health providers, faith-based organizations, etc.
This presentation is part of the 2019 Illinois and Missouri Behavioral Health Conference. Note: Interested participants DO NOT have attend the rest of the conference to go to the Youth MHFA training.
