The National Hispanic and Latino MHTTC presents the Symposium: Culturally Responsive & Trauma-Informed Services for Hispanic and Latino Populations. The focus of the event is to provide tools to manage and approach trauma from the perspective of culture to mental health providers working with Hispanic and Latino Populations who may have experienced trauma. During this event, participants will be able to:

  • Describe trauma-informed care and culturally responsive services
  • Enhance awareness in providers about the specific needs of Hispanic and Latino populations
  • Develop a toolkit to support institutions in the provision Trauma-Informed care
  • Identify Hispanic and Latino communities´ historical trauma and its possible impact on engagement to mental health services
