On September 28, Maria O'Connell, PhD, Associate Professor, Yale School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, shared an overview of shared decision-making (SDM) tools and ways to inform practice. SDM interventions enable people to actively manage their own health. We examined research on the effects of SDM and review best practices, including advancing SDM practice.
