We observe Minority Mental Health Awareness Month / BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month to bring awareness to the compounding struggles faced by underrepresented individuals with mental health concerns due to racism within and beyond the mental healthcare system. We aim to utilize this awareness to promote racial equity in our systems and communities.

Disability Pride Month is celebrated every July and is an opportunity to honor the history, achievements, experiences, and struggles of the disability community.
This week highlights the positive impact that therapeutic recreation can have on mental and emotional health.
On July 23rd, National Women Touched By Addiction Day aims to raise awareness of the unique struggles of women who are facing addiction and who have loved ones who face addiction.
The foundation, “encourage[s] women to share a photo on social media where they lift just one finger and share their testimony, or just show their support for an entire community of women who have felt the effects of addiction. [The foundation hopes] this will encourage women to seek help, know that they are not alone, and see the resilience women have.”
