The National Hispanic and Latino MHTTC released a guide on clinical applications of cultural elements when working with Hispanic and Latino populations. The goal of this guide is to increase the awareness and abilities of mental health care providers in their use of cultural elements by promoting the use of culturally appropriate formulations when treating Latinos with mental health disorders. Current research findings inform this guide on the impact of cultural factors on the assessment and treatment of mental health disorders and therapeutic relationships.
