AUSTIN -- The South Southwest MHTTC, in collaboration with the Region 6 Peer Support Advisory Committee, is so excited to present a new webinar series in 2022. Occurring every other month, The Region 6 Peer Support Spotlight Series will highlight the efforts and accomplishments Region 6 states (Texas, Arkansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Louisiana) and tribal communities are making in the peer support sphere. Each month, a different state or tribal community will be spotlighted, pulling together speakers and peer support leaders from their communities to discuss different topics such as peer statewide infrastructure, peer recovery, and more.
The Region 6 Peer Support Spotlight Series will run from January 2022 through November 2022. Topics and dates for each webinar will be announced on a rolling basis, about one month before the scheduled webinar. You can keep up to date will all dates and topics on the official webpage, where additional resources and, eventually, recordings of each webinar, will be made available for viewing.
The first lineup in the series, Building a Peer Advisory Committee to Advise State Entities, highlights the state of Arkansas and features a panel of peer support leaders. The panel will be discussing how to identify and tap into peer statewide infrastructure. The webinar is scheduled for January 13th, 2022 at 1:00pm CT. Registration is still open.
