Youth Mental Health First Aid

The Northeast and Caribbean MHTTC is proud to offer a free Behavioral Health Workforce Development Training program in Youth Mental Health First Aid.   Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is a training for teachers, school staff, and others to prepare them to help young people experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge or crisis.

Through this training you will learn how to recognize the early warning signs that may lead to a future suicide and how to intervene by questioning, persuading, and referring the student for further help.
