Join us for this Pre-Conference training on August 29th, 2021.

Session #1 (Panel) 11am-1 / Session #2 (Interactive Lecture) 2-4pm CST - Break in between Sessions 1 and 2 (1-2pm CST)

Session #1: This panel of physicians from five different specialty areas will address several key questions pertaining to the health and wellness of their patients. Dr. Dale Walker will moderate this two-hour event. The focus will be on discussion of patient health and wellness in an early post-pandemic world.  The panel will consist of various Native physicians from different disciplines and guided by specific questions from the moderator of the event.  Our intention is to offer a supportive, open dialogue on solution-focused discussions around patient care as it pertains to COVID-19 and early recovery considerations for practicing Native Physicians and their patient populations.

Session #2:  This interactive two-hour lecture format will focus on applications of Trauma-Informed “Healing” Care (TIC).  The presenters will offer basic information on TIC from a Native American perspective, how it applies to Native patients, and how TIC can improve both patient care and the physician’s sense of efficacy.  Both presenters will offer an opportunity to take questions from the audience and encourage an interactive format in this informative lecture.
