SAMHSA’s Office of Recovery, The Family Run Executive Director Leadership Association (FREDLA), Youth ERA, The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Federation of Families, and Youth MOVE are sponsoring a webinar series that will take place during Children's Mental Health Week! Each webinar will take place from 10-11am PT / 1-2pm ET.
- May 8 - History of Children's Mental Health Week
- Learn about how Children’s Mental Health Week was born!
- May 9 - Self-Care Practice for Youth and Advocates for Youth with Messages of Hope in Recovery from Youth with Lived Experiences
- Hear about the importance of strategies and self-reflection tools that can be used for managing self-care. Youth and young adults with broad lived experiences will share inspiring, impactful, and empowering messages of how incorporating self-care practices into their daily lives have supported and enhanced their personal recovery journey.
- May 10 - Moving from Awareness to Acceptance: An Intimate Conversation with Karl and Kathy Dennis
- Join the National Federation of Families as Karl and Kathy Dennis discuss their journey to create acceptance for all children and families through unconditional care and the positive social justice implications of this approach.
- May 11 - What Oxford University Research says about Youth Peer Support
- Hear from youth about the importance of peers helping peers and what does the research show to support that message.
- May 12 - Many Pathways to Children’s Mental Health
- What does the research say about Family-to-Family Peer Support? What does Parent Peer support look like in implementation? A call to action from lived experience!
