SMI Adviser published a new resource guide, "Improving Behavioral Health Services for Individuals with Serious Mental Illness in Rural and Remote Communities". With close to 20% of the U.S. population living in rural and remote areas, this guide serves as a blueprint on how to overcome barriers to providing mental health services such as availability, access, and acceptance of services in these communities.

This resource is intended for clinicians, administrators, policymakers, and advocates working in these areas. It was co-created by SMI Adviser in partnership with the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors and NASMHPD Research Institute (NRI).
