Asylum-Seeking Children and Families and the Effects of Immigration, Detention, and Separation

This presentation aims to discuss culturally relevant approaches to working with children and families who may have been separated during immigration and asylum-seeking processes. The presentation will address the possible effects of such processes in attachments among family members. The intended audience is behavioral health providers working with Latino populations who may work with families who have experienced dislocation and disruptions related to immigration and asylum-seeking processes.
