National Center-TFR: Cross-State Leadership Academy for Tobacco-Free Recovery

Today is the last day to apply for the Cross-State Leadership Academy for Tobacco-Free Recovery! Organized by the National Center of Excellence for Tobacco-Free Recovery, this initiative aims to reduce commercial tobacco use among people with mental health and substance use conditions.

Over the last decade, states have identified and made “low-cost, no cost” investments that have resulted in dramatic reductions in tobacco use among people with behavioral health conditions. The academy experience will support your team in mobilizing community partners, stakeholders, and people with lived experience to develop and implement a statewide action plan to continue to reduce the rates of commercial tobacco use among persons with behavioral health conditions.

State departments, offices, or programs in the following topic areas should apply:

  • Tobacco Control
  • Mental Health
  • Substance Use Disorder/Addiction Services
  • Health Equity or Minority Health

Applications are due by February 12, 2024 at 10pm ET. Click here to learn more, or email Project Director David Davis for more information!
