Saving Young Black Lives: Reversing Suicide Trends is an 8-part limited-series podcast produced in partnership with the New York University McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research. Survivors, family members, researchers, and behavioral health professionals discuss what it will take to stop a growing crisis of Black youth suicide.

Opening Remarks Recording The 2022 South Southwest MHTTC First Episode Psychosis (FEP) Conference took place from June 1-3, 2022 both virtually and in-person in Austin, TX. Jennifer Baran-Prall and Samantha Reznik led opening remarks on June 1st. Opening remarks included the conference theme, considerations around accessibility, community guidelines, context for the conference, and information about the South Southwest MHTTC. The K-12 Program created fact sheets for both Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) to educate individuals on the data surrounding SMI and SED in Native populations and to share best practices for working with Native peoples living with SMI and Native children and youth with SED. Both of the fact sheets can be downloaded above.    

Description: This resource offers guidance on finding committed psychiatrists to work in Community Mental Health Center and Federally Qualified Health Center settings.
