Rural behavioral health practice has unique challenges, two of which are high provider turnover rate and provider recruitment. Join us for an insightful webinar series on organizational wellness in rural behavioral health settings. This series will address key themes such as Organizational Commitment to the Culture of Care, Compassionate Leadership, and Assessment of Organizational Culture. By prioritizing these elements, rural behavioral health organizations can create a nurturing environment that not only attracts top-tier talent but also nurtures their professional growth and commitment to the organization. 

In this webinar series, we will navigate through the complexities surrounding ways leaders can showcase their commitment to the culture of care for their organization, how to effectively practice compassionate leadership, and how to implement effective strategies to assess and improve organizational culture. We will explore practical strategies aimed at cultivating an environment conducive to staff satisfaction and longevity.

Session 1: July 25, 12pm MT

Organizational Commitment to the Culture of Care 

  • Define the components of a Culture of Care within an organization and its impact on staff retention and morale. 
  • Identify effective communication strategies for promoting a Culture of Care and fostering collaboration among staff members. 
  • Analyze strategies for fostering Organizational Commitment to a Culture of Care, including leadership involvement and staff engagement initiatives. 

 

Session 2: August 22, 12pm MT

Compassionate Leadership  

  • Identify the principles of compassionate leadership by articulating its key components, such as empathy, active listening, and fostering a supportive work environment. 
  • Demonstrate self-awareness as foundational elements of compassionate leadership, recognizing and managing one's own emotions while also empathizing with the emotions and perspectives of others to promote understanding and unity within the team. 
  • Apply techniques for building trust and rapport within a team, utilizing strategies such as vulnerability, authenticity, and transparency to create a culture of trust and psychological safety conducive to collaboration and innovation. 

 

Session 3: September 26, 12pm MT

Assessment of Organizational Culture  

  • Explore factors such as leadership styles, communication practices, reward systems, and employee support programs influence the overall culture of care within the organization. 
  • Evaluate the components of organizational culture, including norms, values, beliefs, and behaviors, through qualitative and quantitative methods, to identify areas for improvement or alignment with organizational goals and values. 
  • Establish metrics and identify measures to track progress, identify areas of success, and make data-driven adjustments to strategies and initiatives that promote organizational wellness.
