This two-day event is designed to prepare qualified professionals to equip educators with knowledge and resources to integrate trauma informed best practices into their classrooms and school communities. The first day of training will cover the HEARTS framework and training. The second day of training will provide opportunities for teach-backs and facilitation practice.
This course provides foundational and intermediate-level training on: trauma, biology of trauma, complex trauma and attachment and the impact on cognition and learning, cultural humility and understanding racial stress as a form of trauma, and fostering resiliency in students and adults. Content is tailored for application in the education setting.
