About this Resource: The Southeast MHTTC Newsletter highlights upcoming events and recently released products as well as shares information on available resources from SAMHSA and the MHTTC network.  The May 2023 issue promotes May Awareness events (National Mental Health Awareness Month & Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month), highlights our upcoming events and recently developed products, celebrates efforts being done by Region IV states, and provides resources available through the MHTTC Network and SAMHSA to connect individuals to needed treatment and support.

The third April issue of our newsletter spotlights Mental Health Awareness Month this May and announces upcoming MHTTC webinars and events, four new podcast episodes, new resources and funding opportunities.

  The Great Lakes Current is the e-newsletter of the Great Lakes ATTC, MHTTC, and PTTC.   The March 2023 issue honors National Women's History Month by sharing resources from the Mental Health Technology Transfer (MHTTC) Network that focus on an array of behavioral health issues affecting women and girls. This issue also features an exciting, new intensive technical assistance training series sponsored by the Great Lakes ATTC, MHTTC, and PTTC.  As always, The Great Lakes Current provides links to all the upcoming events and trainings for the Great Lakes ATTC, MHTTC, and PTTC.

As we move into our fifth project year in service of you and the school mental health workforce, we sit in reflection about the learning, listening, and leading that has evolved over the years together.    A couple of highlights in this Fall Issue:  Our regional school mental health webpage was launched in September 2021 and has received 1,044 pageviews; we hope to continue to build resources and content that can support you.  More than 120 regional and national Project AWARE (Advancing Wellness and Resiliency in Education) grantees attended our PS MHTTC programming in Year 4; we hope to continue to support AWARE leaders in our region and beyond.  School mental health professionals represent the highest proportion of our Center’s training and technical assistance! We see you, lifelong learners.  Our products, including project-developed resources and archived recordings, have been viewed or downloaded 26,374 times.   We hope that you continue to see us as a resource for creating or locating the content and coaching you need and want so that our work feels efficacious, supported, informed, and impactful.  In this quarter’s newsletter, we offer new programming, research and resources, and so much more.

  The Great Lakes Current is the e-newsletter of the Great Lakes ATTC, MHTTC, and PTTC.   The February 2023 issue honors National Black History Month by sharing resources and content from the African American Behavioral Health Center of Excellence and SAMHSA that focus on how social determinants of health have affected the health and well-being of African Americans, as well as the importance of providing culturally responsive behavioral health services. This issue also features exciting, new training opportunities sponsored by the Great Lakes PTTC, the ATTC Network's Pearls of Wisdom blog series, and the final article of the Power of Music series by Mark Sanders and Kisha Freed.  As always, The Great Lakes Current provides links to all the upcoming events and trainings for the Great Lakes ATTC, MHTTC, and PTTC.

Dear Friend, Despite the loss of an hour of sleep, we are grateful for daylight savings time. The additional daylight hours are fueling us through the last months of the academic year. Thank goodness, too, because we have A LOT of projects we are working on! We are very excited to share them with you. The month of November is a time to celebrate the rich and diverse cultures, histories, and traditions of Native people. We commemorate this month by remembering the past and raising awareness of the customs, struggles and strengths of Native people throughout their history and today. In honor of Native American Heritage Month, we are dedicating this newsletter to American Indian and Alaska Native communities and sharing culturally relevant and developed behavioral health training topics and resources.
