This is the fifth session for Healing School Communities: Shifting the Dominant Paradigm to Center Student Wellness, a Community of Practice intended for students, families, educators and school mental health professionals who are navigating the ongoing impact of racial violence in all forms on student mental health. In this session, we attempt to better understand the underlying roots of oppression within schooling spaces (i.e. anti-blackness, colonization, etc.) and identify impactful strategies for countering, refusing, and moving away from these different manifestations of violence.
