2023 SMART Speaker Series: Equity-Centered MTSS and Implications for School Mental Health 

Northwest Mental Health Technology Transfer Center and the UW SMART Center were pleased to present the 2023 Virtual Speaker Series to the school mental health workforce. The three-session series featured national leaders discussing the importance of implementing MTSS with an equity focus. Through this series, they spotlighted evidenced-based strategies for developing equitable learning environments for all students. 

 

 

21st Annual NWPBIS Conference: Aligning Values and Action to Create Community

The Northwest MHTTC sponsored and staff presented throughout the school mental health strand at the 2023 NWPBIS Conference in Portland, Oregon.

 

 

The MHTTC Network's RACE (Raising Awareness Commemoration Event) for Mental Health

Millions of Americans face the reality of living with a mental illness. That is why in May, hundreds of organizations across the country raised awareness about mental health. The national MHTTC Network hosted an event for the mental health workforce to highlight free resources and technical assistance available on mental health promotion, treatment, and recovery. Two staff from NWMHTTC Region 10 presented at the event on a dissemination strategy for Classroom WISE.  

 

 

Free One-Day Alaska Workshops: Effective Practices To Support Mental Health in Schools 

The Alaska Autism Resource Center and the Northwest Mental Health Technology Center invited Alaska educators and their community partners to join one of three full-day school mental health workshops held in Sitka, Anchorage, and Nome. 

 

 

National PBIS Leadership Forum 2022

NWMHTTC held a pre-conference workshop for attendees from Region 10 (Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington) for networking, sharing tips about how to make the most of the PBIS Forum, hearing about training and TA in the region, and learning from Interconnected Systems Framework exemplar district implementers.
