Persons living with HIV/AIDS face a number of social, psychological and biological stresses on an ongoing basis. It is important for providers to have an understanding and sensitivity to those issues when providing care. This session is part of a one-day workshop that will examine the major bio-psychosocial effects of HIV infection, in addition to the importance of adherence to HIV therapy.
