Trauma-Informed Care: Train the Trainer (Session 2 of 6)

Closed Registration

Description
What does it mean to provide trauma-informed services? To truly practice care in a way that is sensitive to the experience of trauma, all members of an organization must understand and be sensitive to the impacts of trauma. We all have an important role to play in making sure that all intersections with individuals in care are supportive, affirming, and avoid retraumatizing those who are especially vulnerable. This course was designed to help participants gain an understanding of trauma, its impacts, and the fundamental components of a trauma-informed approach to care. Through interactive instructional activities participants will develop practical tools for communicating effectively and learn how to implement trauma-informed practices into their organization.
