Youth Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based training that teaches participants how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents ages 6-18. This two-part virtual course (September 12 & 14, 11:00am - 2:30pm each day) is primarily designed for adults who regularly interact with young people (such as parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, health and human services workers, etc.). Topics covered include anxiety, depression, substance use, disorders in which psychosis may occur, disruptive behavior disorders (including AD/HD), and eating disorders.
