School Mental Health Initiative 

The Southeast Mental Health Technology Transfer Center (Southeast MHTTC) School Mental Health Initiative is proud to serve HHS Region IV (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee).

Mission: 

The Mission of the Southeast MHTTC School Mental Health Initiative is to provide training and technical assistance to leaders in our region to aid in the advancement of comprehensive school mental health systems.

Goals:

The goals of the School Mental Health Initiative activities include:

1.   To support the development of regional, state, and local leadership capacity to advance comprehensive school mental health systems within Region IV

2.   To provide training and technical assistance to state- and district-level leaders on the importance of mental health service provision in schools and linkages to such service when direct provision is not feasible.

3.   To disseminate information related to comprehensive school mental health systems in Region IV.
