$46.8 Million in Behavioral Health Funding Opportunities Announced

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month (May 2024), the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) recently announced $46.8 million in notices of funding opportunities to promote youth mental health, grow the behavioral health workforce, improve access to culturally competent behavioral care across the country, and strengthen peer recovery and recovery support. These investments will help communities transform how they address behavioral health.

The available funding will further support SAMHSA’s strategic goals, which include preventing substance use and overdose, improving access to suicide prevention and mental health services, promoting emotional resilience for all, integrating behavioral and physical health care, and enhancing the behavioral health workforce.
