It was another exciting week for the team at the Mid-America MHTTC!
Mid-February ushered in the annual National Association of School Psychologists convention. This year's convocation brought school psychologists from across the nation to New Orleans, LA, to share insights and connect with other members of the profession.
Our Center was proudly represented across poster sessions and presentations. Dr. Erika Franta, Dr. Hannah West, Jessica Christensen, and Dr. Brandy Clarke collaborated on the creation of the poster "Busting through Burnout: Strategies to Promote Systems-Level Support of Educator Well-Being."
Additionally, Dr. Kaitlyn Young and Schyler Johnson presented at their breakout session, "Supporting Transgender and Nonbinary Students in Rural Schools." This session covered the mental health needs of these students, context paralysis, and support strategies.
