ARC for Behavioral Health Professionals: A Training of Trainers workshops are intended for behavioral health professionals — including but not limited to counselors, psychiatrists, social workers, substance use counselors, case managers, training directors, and peer support professionals interested in implementing the ARC for Health Professionals framework within their organizations. The training will:

• Provide an overview and foundation of the ARC for Health Professionals framework;
• Introduce trainers to the materials for both the core and supplemental skills; and
• Provide time for implementation planning.

This program meets the criteria of an approved continuing education program for mental health practice. 

Teams

Teams should include a minimum of 2 members, including persons responsible for implementing the program in your agency. We strongly recommend that teams include at least one leader or decision-maker, even if this person will not be leading curriculum delivery. Preference will be given to teams in HHS Region 7 (Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri).

Learners can use the workbook whether following along with the modules individually or as part of an organization.
• ARC for Educators - Experience each of the core modules within the context of school mental health. These are geared toward educators, administrators, counselors, therapists, and other school personnel and behavioral health professionals who work in school settings.

The ARC was initially developed in 2013 by Clayton Cook, PhD, and Gail Joseph, PhD, for pre- and in-service teachers1. It was later adapted for the Mid-America MHTTC by Aria Fiat, PhD and Andrew Thayer, PhD.
