This training session was provided to the Cass Clay YWCA team, and their partners, in response to a technical assistance request received by the Mountain Plains Mental Health Technology Transfer Center (Mountain Plains MHTTC) and Mountain Plains Addiction Technology Transfer Center (Mountain Plains ATTC).
Dr. Tami DeCoteau, PhD, provided a two-hour training exploring the impact of trauma on victims of intimate partner violence. This session discussed the definitions of trauma, examined the neurophysiology of trauma responses, and modeled best practices for supporting clients and patients who have experienced trauma and intimate partner violence.
