988 Suicide and Crisis Care Transformation

View Webinar Recording

On July 16, 2022 the three-digit number for suicide and mental health crises, 988, went live. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a network of more than 200 state and local call centers supported by the US Department of Health and Human Services through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). 988 is part of a broader crisis continuum which includes the hotline, mobile crisis, and crisis stabilization.

This webinar gives more information about 988, who should call, why to call, what happens when you call, how it differs from 911, and what the larger mental health crisis response system can do.
