This is a Post-Program Best Practices School Presentation as part of the 31st Annual Virtual New England School of Best Practices in Addiction Services.
This interactive webinar, sponsored by the New England Mental Health Technology Transfer Center, will provide an overview of key strategies to move person-centered care from theory to reality through the practice of Person-Centered Recovery Planning (PCRP). Critical components of PCRP will be addressed including philosophy, process, planning documentation, and purpose. Practical coaching will be offered for how to maintain a strengths-based, person-centered orientation within a comprehensive plan which simultaneously meets rigorous fiscal and regulatory standards. Participants will have an opportunity to “build” a recovery plan through interactive polls and breakout groups and will hear directly from individuals with lived experience about the necessity of person-centered approaches in supporting self-determination and recovery. A variety of take home tools and resources will be available for those interested in more intensive learning on this topic.
