Bethany Yeiser will describe her trajectory from the onset of schizophrenia, through acute psychosis, homelessness, two brief incarcerations, full recovery, and her college graduation with high honor. Bethany will also discuss strategies for effective teamwork among families and health care providers, helping patients develop insight into mental illness, consent to treatment, and achieve the highest possible level of recovery. She will describe the work of the CURESZ Foundation (Comprehensive Understanding via Research and Education into SchiZophrenia).
